Lakota Local Schools is proud to offer high speed wireless internet access throughout our campus. The wireless network LakotaStaff is available for staff to connect their personal devices to.


If you are using a device owned by the district, it should be connected to the LakotaData or LakotaOne2One network. If the district-owned device is not connected to the LakotaData or LakotaOne2One network, please contact the Technology Department for assistance.


iOS/iPadOS Users

  1. Open the Settings app and navigate to Wi-Fi.
  2. Select LakotaStaff from the list of networks.
  3. Enter your RaiderID credentials. Your email should go in the "Username" field and your password should go in the "Password" field.
  4. If prompted to trust a certificate, select the "Trust" button.
  5. After approximately 30-60 seconds, you will be automatically connected to the network.


Android Users


Note: Most Google Pixel models are not compatible with connecting to the LakotaStaff network.

  1. Open the Settings app and navigate to Wi-Fi.
  2. Select LakotaStaff from the list of networks.
  3. Ensure these settings are configured as follows:
    • Set EAP method to "PEAP" 
    • Set CA certificate to "Don't validate"
    • Set Domain to "LAKOTAFS02.lakota.local"

*Please note that not all devices may require these settings. If your device does not ask for the above mentioned setting(s), you may continue to the next step.

  1. Enter your RaiderID credentials. Your email should go in both the "Identify" field AND the "Anonymous Identity" field.
  2. Your password should go in the "Password" field.
  3. Click "Connect".
  4. After approximately 30-60 seconds, you will be automatically connected to the network.


Troubleshooting

If you have previously joined another on campus network, such as LakotaGuest, your phone may attempt to randomly re-connect to a network other than LakotaStaff, causing issues with your internet connectionIf you notice you are consistently being disconnected from the internet, follow the instructions below.


iPhone Users

  1. Open the Settings app and navigate to Wi-Fi.
  2. Select the small "i" icon next to the Wi-Fi network you would like to disconnect from.
  3. Select "Forget Network"


Android Users

  1. Open the Settings app and navigate to Wi-Fi.
  2. Hold down on the Wi-Fi network you would like to disconnect from.
  3. Select "Forget network".
